Darko Kosanović je rođen 10. maja 1982. u Beogradu, Srbija. Diplomirao je na Fakultetu za fizičku hemiju u Beogradu 2009. godine (tema diplomskog rada: „Pomena parametra zgušnjavanja i mikrostrukture tokom sinterovanja cink-oksida“). Upisao je doktorske studije na Tehničkom fakultetu u Čačku. Doktorsku disertaciju "Uticaj parametara sinteze i strukture na električna svojstva Ba0,77Sr0,23TiO3" odbranio je u maju 2013. godine na Tehničkom fakultetu u Čačku. U zvanje naučnog saradnika izabran je 2014.

Zaposlen je u Institutu tehničkih nauka SANU od maja 2010.godine.

Oblasti interesovanja: sinterovanje, kinetika sinterovanja, keramika, karakterizacija materijala, električna provodljivost materijala, tehnologija prahova

Član je Srpskog keramičkog društva.

Dr Darko Kosanović je Associate Editor časopisa Science of Sintering, kao i recezent istog.
