Jelena Živojinović je rođena 19. marta u Beogradu 1982. godine. Diplomirala je na fakultetu za Fizičku hemiju Univerziteta u Beogradu sa temom „EPR detekcija biomarkera za ALS“. Upisala doktorske studije na Tehnološko-metalurškom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu, smer inženjerstvo materijala.

Oblasti interesovanja: keramički materijali, tehnologija prahova, sinterovanje, kinetika sinterovanja, karakterizacija materijala, električna provodljivost materijala

Zaposlena je u institutu tehničkih nauka SANU od 2011.godine.
