Dr Miloš C. Tomić je rođen 21.06.1963.g. u Peckoj kod Valjeva. Završio je Desetu gimnaziju u Beogradu i diplomirao 1987.g. na Elektrotehničkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu, na Odseku za tehničku fiziku. Na istom fakultetu je završio postdiplomske studije na smeru Optoelektornika, magistrirao 1994.g., a doktorsku disertaciju na temu „Fiber-optički senzori zasnovani na niskokoherentnoj interferometriji“ je odbranio 2004.g. 1987 i 1988 je bio zaposlen kao asistent na Tehnološko-metalurškom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu. Od 1988.g. do 2018.g. radio je na istraživačko-razvojnim poslovima u oblasti elektrooptike, optoelektronike, fiber-optike i klasične optike u Institutu bezbednosti u Beogradu. Od 2013.g. predaje na Akademiji za nacionalnu bezbednost, kao vanredni profesor na grupi tehničkih predmeta. Od 2019. g. radi u ITN-SANU u oblasti fotonaponske energetike. Na predlog Elektrotehničkog fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu, 2019. g. je izabran u naučno zvanje naučni savetnik u oblasti tehničko-tehnoloških nauka. Kao autor ili koautor je objavio preko 110 naučnih radova, pet tehničkih rešenja i tri registrovana patenta. Dobio je Godišnju nagradu Privredne komore Beograda za pronalazak u 1996.g. i više nagrada i priznanja od strane Vojske Jugoslavije, MUP-a Srbije i BIA.

Govori engleski i francuski jezik.
