Dr. Vedrana Marinovic was born on December 22, 1951 in Split, Croatia. She graduated from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade in 1975, and completed her MSc studies at the same Faculty in 1990 with the thesis titled Study of the possibility to remove nitromate from the waste water using dynamic adsorption. In 1994, she took her PhD degree at the same Faculty with the thesis Electrochemical sedimentation of brass from pyrophosphate-oxalate solutions. She was elected a Senior Research Associate in 2000 at the Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade.
Fields of interest: electrochemical sedimentation of metals, alloys and composite materials; separation kinetics of hydrogen and oxygen, waste water purification.
She has been working at the Institute of Technical Sciences of SASA since 1991. Before this, she worked in “Prva Iskra” Company in Barič, from 1976-1990, designing processing industry plants as leading engineer. She took her license exam for the preparation of technical documentation and building of investment objects in 1985, and in 2005 she received the license for leading designer (license number 371B15505). From 1990-1991 she worked in the Institute of Nuclear and Other Mineral Raw Materials. In 2002 she worked in SimiTec LLC Company in Cleveland, USA. She is the author of a large number of technological designs, technical solutions and studies. She participated on fundamental research projects and was a team leader in two technological development projects.
