Vladimir Blagojević graduated from the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade in 2002. The title of his graduation thesis was "Synthesis and characterization of amorphous metal powders". The same year, he enrolled in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Columbia University (USA), Department of Chemistry. He earned his PhD degree by defending the thesis entitled Synthesis and Physical Properties of Vanadium and Titanium Oxides on August 7, 2007. In 2008 and 2009, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Waterloo (Canada), where he was involved in the research into the functionalization of quantum dots and the synthesis of multiferroic materials by doping barium titanate. Between 2009 and 2015, he collaborated, as an independent researcher, in projects led by Prof. Dragica Minic (Faculty of Physical Chemistry). In addition, he managed the project focused on the of modification of titanium oxide electrodes for solar cells (in collaboration with the Tor Vergata University in Rome, the group of Prof. Di Carlo) and the development of the ThermV software package for thermal analysis, and consulted on the development of a new generation of catalytic materials for car industry for the Vida Holdings company (Canada).

He has been working at the Institute of Technical Sciences of SASA since April 2015. He has been involved in the project OI 172057 "Directional synthesis, structure and properties of multifunctional materials", headed by Prof. Vladimir Pavlović.

Fields of interest: renewable energy, theoretical system modeling (DFT, MD, Monte Carlo) and the development of new catalytic materials.

He is a reviewer for Materials Science and Engineering B, Materials Chemistry and Physics, ChemCatChem, ChemSusChem, Journal of Alloys and Compounds.
