Institute of Technical Sciences of SASA Receives a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Museum in Belgrade

On the occasion of the Day of the National Museum of Serbia and the celebration of its 181st anniversary, held on 10 May 2025, the Director of the National Museum, Bojana Borić Brešković, awarded certificates of appreciation to individuals and institutions that made significant contributions in 2024 to the conservationn, research, and presentation of the cultural heritage managed by the Museum.

The Institute of Technical Sciences of SASA received a certificate of appreciation for its collaboration on the physico-chemical analysis of artifacts from the National Museum’s collection. On behalf of the Institute, the certificate was received by Dr. Smilja Marković, who initiated the collaboration and has been actively involved in it.

Following the award ceremony, the exhibition titled “Through the Roman Empire on Wheels: Along Roads and Crossroads to the National Museum of Serbia” was officially opened in the Gallery of the National Museum. The exhibition was curated by museum advisor Deana Ratković and was formally inaugurated by the Museum Director and the Minister of Culture, Nikola Selaković.
