The Institute of Technical Sciences of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) is organising a workshop entitled “Integration of Simulations and Experiments for Advanced Industrial Applications”, to be held on Tuesday, 13 January 2026, starting at 10:00, in Hall 3 of the SASA Palace.
The workshop is organised within the framework of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and a European doctoral training network funded by the European Union, and takes place on the occasion of a visit by distinguished researchers from Germany and Chile to the Institute of Technical Sciences of SASA.
During the workshop, current research results and industrial activities from the EU-funded projects BLESSED, ULTIMATE-I, and HIP-2d-QM will be presented, with a particular focus on:
- fuel cells and functional materials,
- advanced simulation methods,
- textiles for optical and space applications.
The programme will also include lectures by leading researchers in the field of advanced materials and technologies for clean energy and high-tech applications:
- Next-generation PEM Fuel Cells: Multiscale Modelling, Dr Matthias Baldofski (Freudenberg TI, Germany)
- Advances in Mirror Design for Telescopes and Satellites, Dr Carlos Garcia (Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Chile)
The workshop is intended for researchers, doctoral candidates, and all those interested in the integration of numerical simulations and experimental methods in contemporary industrial and research contexts. The working language of the workshop is English.
