Research areas

  • Enhancing the optical and electrical properties of semiconductor materials by tuning the surface-to-bulk point defect ratio. 
  • Synthesis and characterization of ZnO-based materials for potential application in photo(electro)catalysis. 
  • Synthesis and characterization of perovskite (BaTi1-xSnxO3 (BTS), CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) and CaCu3Ru4O12) powders and sintered ceramics; design, sintering and characterization of perovskite functionally graded materials (FGM). 
  • Calcium phosphate-based materials (hydroxyapatite (HAP), tricalcium phosphate (α- and β-TCP), bi-phasic calcium phosphate (BCP)); powders characterization, sintering of dense ceramics and FGMs.

Keywords: Photo(electro)catalysis; crystal defects; Infrared, Raman, Photoluminescence and UV Vis DR spectroscopy; Impedance spectroscopy.
